And they say that there is poetry in these news conferences. I find it hard to appreciate in what they had been saying.

On another note, the swine flu has been causing fear to everyone but the fight will proceed as it was scheduled. Pacquiao admits that he himself fears of getting the flu, he promised himself that he’d be doing a lot of handwashing during the fight week.

For the fight, there would be thousands of fans who would be flying in to watch the match. There would probably even Mexicans who will be watching the match as Mexico’s Humberto Soto will put his WBC super featherweight crown on the line against Canadian Benoit Gaudet. And two other Mexicans will be fighting in undercard bouts. There is no doubt that there would be fans coming in.

In the Philippine Inquirer, Health Secretary Francisco Duque III said that whenever Manny Pacquiao would be coming home to the Philippines, he will have to undergo the same screening processes as everybody had undergone.

Option #1: On the day of the fight, Biliran Island Video will be setting up a streaming video for the fight. According to the website, he is using windows media technology, so you’re going to need to download microsoft media player, as well as Microsoft Silverlight. The said website also said that it would be streaming at 320 X 240 resolution which is comparable to that of youtube, so your Internet connection needs broadband speed.

Option #2: Another way to watch the game is to download Sopcast and TVU. Both of these are free Peer to Peer or P2P software used to watch live TV. Some channels are of semi-permanent to fly by night once-event channels, so the hardest part is finding channel that has a decent bandwidth to spare.

*Sopcast has worked fine twice in a row for both the Pacquaio vs Marquez fight and the Pacman versus De La Hoya fight. Usually, real actual channels will only go live and be viewable on actual few hours before the fight.

From an article at Yahoo! News By Kieran Mulvaney. Pacquiao states “Ricky Hatton is a different kind of fighter than I have been fighting before. He’s a good fighter and a strong fighter. I expect him to be in 100 percent condition. He has a lot of energy and throws a lot of punches.”

Having to fight the Englishman, they’ve released some statements that they are ready for Hatton as they have studied tapes of his previous fights.

On another point of view, a preview of the fight was made at Boxing News 24 by Adam Fillingham. He stated that Hatton wins in terms of power as Hatton is renowned for his power while Pacquiao doesn’t have that much. Pacquiao has more KO’s with 36 and Hatton having 32. And Hatton has been fighting only in higher weight classes while Pacquiao fought in a range of weights and even those lower than Hattons.

In terms of speed, Pacquiao is the faster fighter with power punches especially from the Dela Hoya fight. For chin power, Hatton has the experience to have been knocked out from head blows by Floyd Mayweather. Pacquiao has not been knocked out from by head blows, its said that Hatton will be more prepared to take blows to the head than Pacquiao as he has the experience.

Body shots is most common in boxing as the torso has the biggest surface area compared to the head. Pacquiao has been knocked out twice by body blows. Though it happened early in his career, he hasn’t been knocked out in nine years of fighting. Freddy Roach has tried to build Pacquiao’s body a lot more to help him win the fight. Winner of this part is Hatton.

As for boxing experience, Pacquiao has had more boxing fights compared to Ricky Hatton. Having more fights means more boxing experience giving him more advantage in their fight.

Boxing News 24 predicts that Hatton will be knocked out probably in the 10th to 12th round.

Though just a prediction, it how the two boxers fight in the actual match that will decide who will win the fight.
